Keep Holding On by Melissa Tagg

About the Book
Swoon-worthy Romance. Small-town Charm. Best friends reunite in Tagg's latest novel of second chances and enduring love.
Beckett Walker hasn't stepped foot in Maple Valley in years. There's no getting past the painful memories, and there's every chance he'll be arrested as soon as he shows his face. Which is exactly what happens when he finally returns. Suddenly his dream of adventure as a military lawyer comes skidding to a halt.
Horticulturist Kit Danby has spent too much time missing home and her childhood best friend--Beckett Walker. Now she might have a shot at reclaiming both. After years of living abroad, she returns to run her family's apple orchard. She has one season to turn a profit and impress the father she barely knows. But she can't do it alone.

It should be simple: Beckett needs community service hours. Kit needs a helping hand. But there's more at stake than either of them planned. With a tangled past and futures that look nothing alike, they'll have to find a way to weather the storms of the present . . . or risk losing everything.

My Thoughts
Anyone who's been following this blog the past few years should know by now that when you see the name Melissa Tagg here you should brace yourself for a long gushing review. So brace yourselves because that's exactly what you're going to get! I swear Melissa gets better with each book. Every time I finish a book of hers I'm convinced there's nothing that could be better and every time her next book proves me wrong! There are a million little things I loved about this book that all added up to three hundred and thirty some pages of pure awesome!
I'll start with first things first, the cover! This just might be my favorite cover of all time! It has been the lock screen on my phone since it was revealed and I seriously want to get a poster sized print of it to hang on my wall!
Then there's the character names. I've loved the name Beckett for awhile now and it totally is perfect for this character. Kit is an adorable name and it just gets cuter when you learn how she got the nickname.
And the characters themselves! Melissa knows how to write characters that you can't help falling in love with! We've gotten to meet Beckett in little snippets of the first two books but it was awesome to get to really know him. Beckett is the reckless wild child of the family, he's always the one coming up with ideas and tends to charge into things without taking too much time to think it through. He's also the smooth talker, very good at talking his way out of and into things or convincing others to do things. Especially Kit, no matter the crazy idea she just can't seem to say no to him. Kit is Beckett's opposite in many ways, she likes to think things out and isn't one to just jump into things. But their differences are what made them so good for each other, he pushed her out of her comfort zone a bit and she kept him grounded. I loved how they started out as friends when they were kids and how even though it had been years since they'd talked, they still knew each other almost better than they knew themselves. Everything about their love story was adorably perfect and I loved every minute of it!
The orchard aspect was really unique and fun and it totally put me in a fall mood. It also was absolutely perfect to add to the Maple Valley charm! I adored visiting this fictional town again, something about it tugs at my heart and I want it to be real so I can move there and never leave.
It was also really great to see the characters from the previous books moving forward in their relationships.

I should probably stop my rambling and gushing now so I will wrap this up though I could keep going for quite awhile! This book had me smiling, laughing out loud, even crying and I loved every second of it! Every little detail was brilliantly crafted and simply beautiful!!! And now I'm dying to read the next book because I need to know what's going to happen with Reagan and Bear!
