The Wonder of You by Susan May Warren

About the Book
Mortified after her semester abroad is cut short, Amelia Christiansen returns to Deep Haven, certain she isn’t brave enough for the adventures she’s dreamed of. The last thing she expects is for the man who broke her heart to cross the Atlantic and beg forgiveness.
Heir to a European hotel dynasty, Roark St. John has trekked from one exotic locale to another, haunted by tragedy and the expectations that accompany his last name. Amelia is the first woman to give him a reason to stop running. He’ll do anything for a second chance―even contend with Amelia’s old flame, who is intent on sending Roark packing.

While one surprise after another leaves Amelia reeling, Roark’s continued presence only highlights the questions pursuing her. Like him, is she running from the life God has called her to? Could finding her new place mean leaving home behind?

My Thoughts
It goes without saying that I loved this book! Susan May Warren's books never fail to exceed my expectations and this series has been one of her absolute best!
I feel like in most of the previous books Amelia's character was more on the sidelines but now it was her time to shine, and shine she did! Though at times I wanted to yell at her because, duh Roark was a thousand times better than Seth and a guy not telling you that he's filthy rich is no reason to get mad, I did genuinely love her character! As the youngest child of a large family everyone had always tried to protect her and fight her battles for her, and while she loved her family she wanted some independence which I totally understood! Roark was a wonderful mix of suave European guy and wild adventurer. I loved how hard he was willing to fight for Amelia, but also how he knew not to push too hard. It was amusing how he worked his way into the hearts of all of the Christiansens! It was obvious from the start that Roark and Amelia were made to be together, and despite some rough patches their romance was beautiful!
I also really enjoyed Grace and Max's side story, it was sweet, amusing, and a little heartbreaking at times and I loved it!
So yes we have another Christiansen family hit on our hands and excuse me while I go bury my head in the sixth and final installment in this series!
