I didn't think to add water. I do love seeing water/beachy scenes on covers though!

Great list! And yes, I'm a sucker for a pretty dress on a cover. ;)

I really like the silhouette covers for Jennifer E. Smith's books (mainstream YA; The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, This is What Happy Looks Like, and The Geography of You and Me. :)

Chrissireads-Water is such a pretty element on covers!

Amber-Thanks! Yeah it's so hard to resist the pretty dresses! I've seen those covers before and I like them too! Though I've not read the books!

I still do like pretty dresses. They're just so nice! But I particularly like it when the awesome dresses fit in with the actual book...like These Broken Stars? Lilac actually wears the super awesome dress! My TTT!

I've never really thought about it before, but now you mention it I also really like covers that focus on hands especially holding hands. Silhouettes made my list too! LOVE silhouettes! Great list! :)

Ooh, controversial list! I've seen a few of these pop up in the opposite list on other blogs.

Fabulous List! Had to pin because now I want to read almost every single one of these --- I admit it, I pick most of the books I read based on the cover or title alone (without reading the synopsis). My List:

Cait-Yeah that makes me so happy when the dress on the cover matches one that the heroine wears!

brocsbookcase-Holding hands makes for a fantastic cover! It's simple yet romantic!

Cora Linn-Haha well everyone is different!

Cassie-Thanks! It's hard not factor in covers when making a book choice!
