Fairchild's Lady by Roseanna M. White

About the Book
This bonus romantic novella is set in the intervening years between Ring of Secrets and Whispers from the Shadows by Roseanna M. White. In 1789 General Isaac Fairchild travels across the Channel on a very special assignment. After surviving the American Revolution, he is now gathering information on life at King Louis XVI’s court. But he must also locate a countess and her grown daughter and escort them back to England before revolution explodes in France. He knows danger is in the task set before him, but when he meets the beautiful Julienne, a new peril beckons him deeper into the intrigue of Versailles.

My Thoughts
After absolutely loving Ring of Secrets I was super excited to read this novella about one of the characters from that book. In Ring of Secrets Fairchild was technically the enemy but he was still a really great guy so I was really happy that he got his own story. A lot of times novellas leave you wanting but this one did an excellent job of giving you the full story and leaving you content and happy. Fairchild was once again a great character and Julienne was a great match for him. Since it was such a short story it's harder to give opinions without spoiling things but I will just say that it was excellently written, the characters were great, and the plot was intriguing! You definitely should read Ring of Secrets before this but after you do I highly recommend this novella! I now absolutely can't wait to read Whispers From the Shadows which is about the son of the characters from Ring of Secrets and the daughter of the characters from this novella!
